Trial Run on Maedry (Class 14) (Finished)

Trial Run on Maedry (Class 14) (Finished)

Postby Chris89 » Thu Apr 10, 2014 4:18 pm

For next scenario (Taking a break from a big multiparter)

Firstly it will be on Workshop and a version on UKTS and Here so stock can easily be swapped if needed.

Note: Weather etc not yet set, still need to do some fun test runs.

You will be taking a Class 14 locomotive on a loaded coal train from Tylorstown Yard, towards Porth. After dropping of the wagons, which will be taken away by a Black 5.
You will collect a mix freight train and take it towards Ferndale Coal Sidings, before parking your locomotive at the Ferndale Carriage siding. Which the locomotive will be used later to take more loaded coal wagons down the bank.

The scenario does have some normal Signal Checks etc and passing traffic will be light.

Currently DLC used:

Port Road (Black 5s, Wagons)
Class 14 (Version Here/UKTS will allow you to change to the IHH version)
Class 111 (again UKTS/Here version, will allow you to change to what ever, May modify it to include the 101 new pack/old one and the 117)
Maedry Branch of course.

Chris

Looks great, Chris. The Teddy Bear certainly is quite charming to look at.

Thank you.

I agree it is, still got to change the head code, so any suggestions what would be more realistic is welcome of course.

Not sure about the headcode Chris, but always had a soft spot for Maerdy and even more so for the little 14. Scenario looks fantastic.

Well Class 2 (the 2 being the first character) is generally local passenger. Freight would be a much higher number. Is the train fully fitted, partially fitted or totally unfitted? (in terms of brakes)

Thank you Darren. Same for me, Maerdy is a nice lovely little route.

I know the Class 1/2s etc, just left at what it was given at placement. Its a mixture, down trip unfitted return trip partially fitted.

In that case Chris, you have two choices:
Class 8 is a partially unfitted train and Class 9 is a totally unfitted train. As you can't change them on the go and I seem to remember you can't have different headcodes on each end on the IHH 14, you'll need to choose between one of those. For the second character, which is always a letter denoting the type and/or destination of the working, I'd recommend you stick simple and set it to T for freight (trip) working. The last two characters should be numbers, choose whatever the heck you like there.

Hope this is useful to you mate. :)

Thank you James it is. Sadly you can't change it, at least with the RSC version off it. Unsure if you can on the standalone IHH one.

Will stick it as a Class 8 train, as one way/ longer journey is part fitted.

You can't change it on the move on either of them, but you can change all 4 characters in the editor. :)

Maybe on the move will be possible in future, like how it is with the AP/Waggonz 319, 142 etc.
