WIP - Class 52 Railtour

WIP - Class 52 Railtour

Postby Chris89 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 3:58 pm

Plans for this scenario will mostly involve the newly released Class 52 Western Champion.

Part 1 of scenario: The Rivera Line, Early morning (About 5am) So traffic will be at extreme low volumes apart from a few ECS Moves, Weather though is extremely foggy, so caution will be required.
Part 2 (Maybe) Bristol to Exeter Line. Current moment am not planing to do it along this line. If people would like to see it please say.

Part 2: West Coast Mainline Over Shap: Going northwards over the WCML, It is still very foggy, but you will be timed inbetween the main VT services.
Part 3: West Coast Mainline North: Continuing Northwards towards Edinburgh, Weather has changed to Heavy Rain.
Part 4: Edinburgh - Glasgow: Journeys End, Weather has finally cleared. Although still a bit cloudy. From Waverley towards Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway mainline connection Spur.

Load will be about 10/11 Mark 1 coaches which will be the Ex DT ones. Part 4, might have you take over a 67 to drag the train + Western to Bo'ness.

Part 1 Is more or less done. Pretty much a simple drive towards Exeter, 3 stops in total: Paignton, Newton Abbot and Exeter. Due to the extreme fog levels, should make it more interesting in speed limit spotting especially at line speed. Would be best played without the F3 hud of course. Next to no traffic, Two passenger (Well one is ECS) and a added freight service with empty JJAs.

If anyone would like to try it i can send it on.

Really like the look and sound of it, Chris! It seems to have a very desolate and eerie atmosphere! :)

That's a pretty big tour, thank goodness the train is not limited to 75mph as it would have if steam hauled! :P

The Red Queen Hypothesis, applicable to train sim development?

Haha i have to agree :P

For steam tours/ services, i prefer sticking to smaller routes myself, due to that speed limit.

Will Start P2 on Shap, when i can figure how long it would take for the service to get up there via Temple Meads/ New Street, Im guessing about 2/3hrs?

Update on this. I have finially started Part 2 for this mini scenario pack and adding some ideas suggested by Sean to me.

Been a bit slow as been addicted to Space Engineers recently and been enjoying RO/RS with all the new extra players.

Another update for this.

Dispatcher is currently refusing to allow me to allow a VT Express to overtake you at Oxenholme. So may delay your train a few mins. But shall do that on Tuesday since away up to Scotland for the weekend :D

Another small update. Am getting on with P2 very slowly. As present moment another game has taken over due to some lucky things surrounding it.

All the best things take time Chris
I've gone from 'fit for firing' to 'full time fireman'. Does this mean I can fire those who are 'fit for firing'?
