Adding a New Name to The Simple Station Name Board

Adding a New Name to The Simple Station Name Board

Postby Terrier060 » Wed Jun 03, 2015 12:04 pm

In Part 1 I described how to make simple station name boards, recently revised and simplified. Here I describe how to add a new name to the board and how to resize the board.

Only just seen this post. Sorry I did not see it earlier. Thanks for taking the time to create the document. I know how time consuming it can be compared to just getting the job done for yourself :D

Cheers

Hi Jim

Many thanks for your kind words. I just hope it is useful to someone. Your tutorials are great - they go at just the right pace. But I haven't got the equipment to do what you do and I suspect it is very difficult to record as you go without sounding tiresome. They were invaluable to me and I am a little more aware now of how Blender works - though I can't get an animated loco chassis to work in MSTS. A good tutorial on how to do the various blueprints would be fantastic. I can get the bodywork in, but not the moving bits! Also I am not sure how one weathers the signboards to make them look more realistic. Some examples are in the gallery.

Thanks again Jim
