Clutter

A member of our little route producing team mentioned the importance of the small details, in particular he had seen a cycle stored on a signal box steps. So we needed some 1950's style cycles.

They are really nice. The little touches are what make it feel real. Left over rails in the 4ft, wonky speed signs instead of straight ones etc etc.

Nice work.

Very nice touch, as always the little attention to details make a huge difference, and is noticed. I like these.

Nice work Brian, Chris and yourself have become quite proficient modelers thanks to your Nottingham Vic project.

thanks for the comments chaps. Hi Simon, characters look very hard to do, maybe that is why we don't see many being produced. We need some variety in loco crews too. Someone clever needs to do a tutorial. ;)

I think the problem is that neither the 3DC or Blender exporters support the required bone systems for characters so it's only available to those who use Max.
I've been wanting to make characters for a long time but it's just not possible in Blender yet. You can make them static of course - I ended up doing this for the driver of the Steam Railmotor - but really they want to at least stand there and shuffle their appendages a bit.

We have these skeleton models available in Crafter Pete, I thought they were the beginning of creating people.

That would be very realistic, especially in such a hot and sweaty environment!

Superb work, Brian, it's as if you've been doing modelling for years. :) Quite inspirational really - I need to have another go myself when I'm freed up a bit.
