Thanks, I did Wildebeeste because I found an original nameplate on an auction site that actually gave the dimensions too, GAZELLE actually ran on the Friargate line so needed doing.

48 inches by 6.75 inches, they get shorter for shorter names but it was a good help.

You'd be surprised how many reference images for all kinds of bits and bobs I've found on Railwayana auction sites.

They look great mate.

They all seem to have been on a single line. I checked my 1960 Combined and I have 61215 William Henton Carver underlined and a photo I found shows the plate ran pretty much the length of the smokebox. Even 61221 Sir Alexander Erskine-Hill was somehow crammed into a similar length. https://www.rcts.org.uk/photographs/arc ... AY2388.jpg

The shorter names like ORIBI were on shorter plates but the letters spread out a bit so they were not too short.

Hello Brian

Did you use the 3D Letters tool in Crafter to create the wording. I have tried using it a couple of times and it seems to work OK. I used it quite a lot in Canvas, particularly for creating those station signs that had raised lettering.

Yes I did Geoff, I sometimes reduce them to single face so I can edit a letters shape, The G in Gazelle wasn't quite right in the font I used so I altered it.
