Can't place track linked items!

So I'm editing the Weardale & Teesdale route a little bit but it seems I can't place objects with track links.

It seems this is restricted to this route (I've cloned it) and only to track linked items. I can do it fine on other routes no probs. I have tried deleting all the scenarios the clone has got and doing it then and still no luck. Everything's all unlocked etc, still nothing.

Right - if anyone else gets this problem, found the solution. Just disable all the auto options for object placement (auto rotate, scaling, etc) and it will work fine. Phew!

Is the track bin file read only maybe? I do this with my route to stop things getting alterd by mistake. And it wont let you do anything to anything connected to the track.
