Detect track marker from script

Postby newbouy » Sun Mar 12, 2017 10:56 pm

Hello does anyone know if it is possible to detect a named track marker eg platform marker from a engine or scenario script. The idea would be to detect the distance to the marker to control a trains approach to the marker and eventually stop at the marker.Im currently writing a scenario script which automatically drives a player train and i have managed to get the script to obey signals and speed limits but i cant work out how you can possibly get the train to stop at any track markers.

Thanks Newbouy

I may be talking through a hole in my head (other than my mouth), but wouldn't a stop point within the platform marker be a better target for the player train to stop!
