My kit arrived quite a while ago but still not got round to getting the soldering iron out. Going to have to wait a week ish as not going to be at home for a few days now.
I'll let you know how I get on once I have made it.

My fully made board arrived the other day but I have not had much time to try it. I have emailed the Omsi creators asking if this device could be used to provide head view, can only ask.

Did one of the 3 original creators make it for you?

Yes Jim, I could not be bothered to put it together myself, my soldering is not the best.

I built mine today and been playing around with it. I don;t have access yet to the Elite Dangerous beta so I have been using it in Euro Truck Simulator 2. I had to hack about in a config file to get the device to do what I wanted in ETS2 but it works very well indeed.
Given that the code that drives the device is still be very actively worked on I see a lot of potential. Right now I can play for approx. 30mins without having to recentre the device.
Not bad for £15 + a couple of hours getting it all working.

Sounds good Jim, well done on getting yours up an running, I still have not got around to trying mine properly other than a quick go in ETS2(have not got Elite D Beta) to check it worked, what did you find were the best settings in ETS2 as I did not find it easy setting it up?
