GWR AWS unit?

Looks familiar to GWR fans? Strange thing is, behind the little window there's a flip-up sign saying "GEVAAR" ('danger'), so I'm going to guess it's part of a short-lived experiment with GWR AWS on the state railways. So, those who are knowledgeable on the GWR front, does this look like 1910-ish cab equipment?

Looks very similar to GWR's own ATC.
