Just to see really how many people on hear have heard off/ Played DCS Word.

Steam Line: http://store.steampowered.com/app/223750
DCS World is a joint project between Eagle Dynamics and The Fighter Collection (Duxford)

It is both on that site above (Via direct download or Torrent) Also now on steam as well. A added bonus, any external moduals you own, the Serial key will activate on steam as well which is a great bonus.

1.2.8 Version of DCS World, Includes a new free aircraft to it which is the TF51D The unarmed Civil/ Trainer version of the lovely P51D Mustang. Also the Russian version of the A10 Warthog being the SU25T, Another new thing added is of Oculus Rift as well.

As all flight simulators it supports all joysticks, rudder peddals, custom controls and Track IR. It also does support gamepads as well, which is very helpful.

Unlike most normal flight sims, it is more of a study sim to understand all the controls, how they work etc.

Modules i own are:

DCS: A10c Warthog (Was Original Steam standalone version)
DCS: UH-1H Huey
DCS: P51D Mustang
DCS: Blackshark 2
DCS: Mi-8 MTV2 Magnificent Eight

All apart from the A10c was purchased from 3rd party sights. The Huey, BS2, Mustang from Get Games Go when they had a Get Loaded deal and the Mi-8 From DCS website when it was on offer.

From those aircraft only one i can fly with confidence is the P51D and partly the Blackshark (KA50). The Huey and MI8 are evil and hard to fly.

I will be getting Flaming Cliffs 3 when it goes on off, the A10a and other SU25 i believe are just FC3 aircraft but standalone.

Future projects from 3rd parties are:

DCS: WW2 (Kickstarted): http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=294
VEAO Simulations: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=207 Projects are a Gorgeous Bae Hawk, Eurofighter Typhoon and recently announced Warbird collection, including a F8F Bearcat, Spitfire XIV, P40 and the Spannish BF109.
Razbam: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=246 Projects are: T-2 Buckeye, F15e, Harrier, A-7 Corsair II, Mirage 2000
Belsimtek: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=251 Behind the MI-8 and Huey.
Coretex Design: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=255 Project appears to be a F18E
Leatherneck Simulations: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=323 Project is a Mi21Bis 'Fishbed'

From ED/FC adding DX11 support and numerous other things in 1.3.0 including a long awaited Nevada Testing range.

For those interested. Over on the DCS website, there is a sale of 60% off on most content.

http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/

Also if take advantage get Flaming Cliffs 3 and not the F15, A10c and the Standalone SU25 as they are all included in FC3.

Also Most welcome. Enjoy the Huey :)

I got the Huey in the last sale (think actually off steam, but use standalone DCS World) The Huey is great but a challenge to fly. The codes from DCS site, will be steam addable after a couple so hours, as even though use standalone, do have the codes on Steam.
