What Are You Working On?

Postby Tankski » Sat Jul 05, 2014 7:38 pm

Simple thread for anything you are working on, even outside of the scope of train simulators.

To start, I've been working on this:

For a while. Will finally be complete Monday (I hope) and allow me to start work on the V2 again (It can be very boring on a macbook sometimes).

Lets hear or see what you people have been doing! :)

As with my RW stuff I don't have much time to work on this project.

Is that a Define R4 case David?

Thinking of getting one of those myself or the NZXT H440. I would love to see your parts list as I am working on something similar myself (although still in the pre-purchase stage).

Yeah its a Define R4, Jim. Great case! Replaced my giant Corsair 600T with this thing. I finally got it working today, too:

Looks like a nicely built rig. Wish I had gone for water cooling on mine, actually managed to get some screen glitches playing grid autosport due to heat. Not ideal it being in a BQ unit tho. One thing I do regret is going with win 8.1, wish i'd stuck with the very solid 7x64 I was on prior. Too many random crashes for my liking but maybe just my rig. What CPU and card do you have going in ?

That's got a better cooling system than my bike!!!!
I've gone from 'fit for firing' to 'full time fireman'. Does this mean I can fire those who are 'fit for firing'?

That looks great David. Do you mind taking a moment to give me the build specs. I am especially interested in the water cooling you have used.

Cheers

Thanks for all of that. I have been looking at all in one kits for ease of use and lower maintenance.

Do you require a 5 1/4 inch bay for any of the cooling kit.

Also what fans did you use? I am interested in quiet running.

Cheers
