Lancaster coming Home.

Postby Chris Baker » Mon Aug 04, 2014 6:12 pm

The only other airworthy lancaster in the world is due to start her long flight home today across the Atlantic to join the BBMF lanc for month long tour of the UK.
Its going to take her 4 days to get here.

You can follow there progress here https://twitter.com/lancsbomberale

She hasn't managed to get airborn yet due to flooding one of the engines. I suspect its a very long time since its flown with a full fuel load.

It isn't really coming home, it's leaving home, it was built in Canada :P :) I hope they don't break it. I had heard the East Kirkby Lancaster was going to be made airworthy.
