In case anyone has missed it on the other forums, I have to report sadly one of the great characters of train simming - Otto Wipfel aka Ottodad - has passed away.

Further details at Trainsim.com: http://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showthread ... tto-Wipfel

And a condolences thread:

His approach to the hobby wasn't always conventional but his knowledge, expertise and willingness to help others was second to none.

RIP and condolences to family and friends.

Thanks for bringing this to this forum's attention, Vern, I for one was not aware of his death. How very sad - whilst I did not know him personally I was well aware of his many contributions to the train sim community. This year just keeps getting stranger.

Rest in Peace, Otto, and my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Thank you for being a big part of the community.

Kind regards,
Chris
