Some Light weathering has been applied to the Clean textures.

And dirty textures for the more usual state of the hoppers have been done.

The completed pack will contain options for Clean & Dirty conditions, Empty & Loaded physics (The brakes are awful in the loaded state ;)) and rear versions. The handbrake levers are animated too. I've decided to alias the sounds to those from the Weardale route, as that is a requirement for North East Rails V2.

I think unusual wagons like these are fantastic and your model certainly has that heavy look to a tee. If I have one criticism is the weathering is a bit too uniform. I noticed in most pics I have seen the doors are nearly always streaky which gives the wagon its look. You have probably seen these already but this webby has some fine pictures of them in use. Especially loving the one contrasting against the double heading with green 24's, full yellow ends. http://southpelawjunction.co.uk/wp/?page_id=631 Superb work though, my gripe is minor :D Really enjoying watching these come to life !

Looking very nice indeed ,does the iron ore load animate when filling and emptying? also will you be adding the script for passing consist messages down the train.Banking engines are totally useless without this script it would be a shame to miss it out.I assume these wagons unloaded from an elevated single line trestle bridge ,side doors open ,iron ore drops into piles each side of the bridge?

Thanks Newbouy

The Load isn't animated, as I prefer to have the braking physics to match loaded and unloaded states. The total brake force available is 12 tons and this is ok with an empty wagon at 29 tons, but for a fully loaded one of 86 tons it's rather woeful. Good job it's pretty much all uphill for the loaded ones and the services were scheduled for 25mph running. I shall have the script for consist messages.

So the ore hoppers are now available and while I'm waiting to get hold of some reference material to help me finish the TTA tanks, I've made a start on something new.

I've been modelling wagons now for nearly 5 years, so have had plenty of practice. Also, I can pull in things like buffers, wheels and bogies from previous projects and tweak to suit. I've made more progress this evening and the basic shape is now pretty much done. Just small details and even more rivets that the 56t hoppers. :o

All the detail has now been added to the Trestrol. Unwrapping is up next and that is never much fun.

Unwrapping of the Trestrol has been completed and base textures applied before the weathering begins.

Suitable loads will be the next thing to tackle.
