Thanks very much. I can see a number of flaws but I'm probably much too close to it to see what others will. A lot of the credit has to go to Brian for his phenomenal modelling, which makes such a difference. He moaned that I'd gone over Bennerley Viaduct without showing it so I did this one for him going in the opposite direction.

Brian's currently working on Derby Friargate station. It was on a series of arches so he's modelled those, the stairs up from the entrance subway and is now starting on the platform buildings. He's done the canopy and, now that we've managed to work out the layout of the doors, is working on the western building. That contained the general waiting room, ladies' room and staff accommodation. It once held the refreshment room but that went around nationalisation. The eastern building will be more difficult. We know it contained two former first-class waiting rooms and the goods lift but haven't found a close image of it.
Here's an early view showing the bespoke platforms. I love the cracked surface he's got into the model. You can't see it in this view but the left-hand platform (as we're looking at it) had a raised section at the far end to make that section into a fish dock. You guessed, it's there!
And here's the subway and part of the canopy. This fair takes my breath away.
I'm struggling with the long, deep, sandstone cutting between Kimberley and Watnall tunnel at the moment. I can't find a suitable loft for the walls. I've tried the UKTS FP Marsden retaining walls but they are vertical and make the cutting very narrow and claustrophobic. Does anyone know of something that might do the job?
An O4 heading to Stanton Ironworks approaches Kimberley heading west.
On a more positive note, Brian is still beavering away at Friargate and I think what he's doing is quite unbelievable. This is still in Crafter but you can see what he's aiming for. Here is the stairs to the subway and the eastern platform building. The door is for the hydraulic goods lift.
