I was puzzled by the placement of lamps at Breadsall. There was one right at the Nottingham end of the two platforms, just before the slope, but not one at the Derby end where there was a foot-crossing. Breadsall closed in 1953 and there aren't many photos of it but I found one that shows a second board crossing at the Nottingham end. That explains the presence of one set of lamps but not the absence of the other. The difference may be that the crossing was right by the signalbox, which would have been manned and lit while trains were running so I guess that the lighting for that crossing was "second hand", as it were.
I believe that getting such an effect in the game is difficult because there's a tendency for the light to ignore walls and show where it shouldn't. Has anyone managed to make it work?
