"Editable" Platform Loft Assets

"Editable" Platform Loft Assets

Postby KaityUK » Sat Jul 20, 2019 4:53 pm

I'm creating a route (aka messing about) and am using South London Lines as the base.

I've noticed that among all the platform loft assets there is one called 'SLL Platform 5m L Editable' and another just called 'SLL Platform 5m L'.

However, on playing about with each I can't see what the differences between them are. They both have the same options in their info panels.

Any ideas?

I would assume that editable means that you can change the size? Have not done any route building in a long time, though.

Hmm, interesting, I shall try that.

What would be nice is a tapering platform asset that you could lay using the offset tool, but I guess that would be beyond the scope of the TS software engine.

There are a number of platform "infills" that are lofts and can be resized (made narrower or wider). These fit between platform edges (about 1m wide), so it is easy to make platforms that narrow to just over 1m at the ramp (with a certain amount of overlap). You can have the platform edges with or without automatic ramps, and can use a resized straight or taper platform that can be found in the default Kuju assets. I use all these in my routes, and have reskinned them to look as realistic as possible for the era in which they sit.
PM me if you wish more details and files
