Another Query re AndiS Signals

Postby SteveP_trains » Wed Dec 11, 2019 7:34 pm

Hi
Hopefully someone can guide me on what I am doing wrong in configuring a signal to Andy's scripting magic :)

I have my signal working with Approach Control when I have it guarding a set of points - ie. when I have the route property boxes to check.
What I want is the same control but with simple 0T signal.
These property settings work........

Working Parameters

I am trying to add the equivalent into the 2nd config box on the 0T signal but it's not having the same effect ....... $1E+~10=10 (no spaces)
Its Single route, Section signal, Approach Control, Speed 10mph & start distance for measurement of 10m

The other question, probably silly, but I assume Approach Control is not valid for CLS signals??

Thanks in advance

Steve

I would simply use a 1T signal there, with nothing between link 0 and link1 and the configuration that you show in the screenshot and that is proven to work.

I certainly did not consider the possibility of a 0T signal doing approach control. All such information goes into a table with one entry per route, route being given by numbered links or wrappers ahead. If there is just link 0 at the signal and nothing ahead that indicates a junction, some of the data structures for junctions will not be built. Some are, but maybe not what you need for approach control.
