This is an empty text file with the filename of settings.dat.

What is it for?
You can avoid having to run the µTorrent installation program (which will try to install toolbars etc if you do not read all the questions carefully).

How do I use it?

1. download the µTorrent client from the official web site
2. Extract the settings.dat file from the zip that is THIS download and place it in the same folder as the µTorrent.exe
3. Double click the uTorrent.exe file
4. Because a configuration file exists (even though it is a 0Kb empty file) µTorrent ignore it's installation process and configures itself as a portable application (an application that runs without being installed).

Can't I just create an empty text file myself?
Of course you can. Just create a new text file and rename it to settings.dat. Job done!
