I don't like the new scenario editor. Superfluous items appear, like sound emitters and markers, that clutter up some areas, like stations. They're selectable, too, so placing content can be truly painful.

Not exactly sure what you mean Keith, I see no extra items. Has it reset your display options within the scenario editor, where before you had them hidden?

Just to highlight what I meant by orange distant terrain
Both shots taken using the same settings apart from the 3D clouds.
Route : Morecambe Bay
Route Template: WCML Over Shap
Time : 12:00
Season : Summer
TS2015 with dynamic clouds deselected, weather set to cloudy

TS2015 with dynamic clouds selected, weather to 3D cloudy

I've gone from 'fit for firing' to 'full time fireman'. Does this mean I can fire those who are 'fit for firing'?

I've never seen any of these things in any previous iteration, unless I added a scenario-specific item, so it must have reset something. Unfortunately, I had no idea that you could hide things so I have no idea where to look to get rid. Any help gratefully received!

Of course, presuming it is the issue I think it is! :D

In the top left flyout of the scenario editor there is an icon that looks pretty much like a computer monitor. Click that and a right flyout appears, allowing you to deselect certain things such as markers, sound domes etc.

Thanks again. That cured it. I vaguely remember that toggle now I've seen it - from a version of the 2-D screen I think - but I've never knowingly used it in the scenario editor, to the best of my knowledge. Anyway, I can now place items with no more problems than before! :D

When you turned the clouds off do you still have dynamic lighting on. I mentioned above its like the old TSX button. Just a thought...

Just for completeness' sake, the update to my second computer did not reset the scenario editor! Don't you just love computers?

Thanks Steve.

In both pics I had the dynamic lighting is turned on. I'm not too bothered about it though. I'm building and not driving so what the clouds look like isn't a major concern. Looking around the forums, distant terrain does seem to be a major concern so maybe it's something DTG will look into .
